Stacking Chair

SET is an elegant and discreet multipurpose chair suitable for many surroundings. Five versions of steel tube frames, three types of seat shells and a variety of materials, additional equipment and colours allow to define accents. A refreshing design for bistros, auditoria and meeting rooms give your location a personal touch.

Frame

4-leg frame: optionally with armrests made of tubular steel 20 x 2 mm with stacking bar. Frames with holes to accommodate the plywood shell. Welded frame. Armrest pad made of black soft grip tubing. 
Sled base: Open, stackable sled base frame made of precision spring steel tube 25 x 2 mm, with welded rear frame. 

Cantilever frame: Frame made of bent precision spring steel tube 22 x 2.5 mm, stackable via inward-bent runner.  Armrest pad made of black soft grip tubing. 

 

Frame Finish

Frame standard chromium-plated, optionally powder-coated according to BRUNE® collection.

 

Seat Shell

Ergonomically shaped, continuous shell made of beech plywood, 10 mm thick, multiply glued. Shell A: straight, tapering downwards. Shell B: straight, slightly tapering upwards. Attachment of the plywood shell to the base frame using countersunk screws and sleeve nuts M5. Shell mounted on fitted plastic spacers. Screwed with seat pad upholstery.

 

Wood Finish

Wooden parts as standard in beech clear lacquered with low-solvent water-based lacquer, optionally stained according to BRUNE® collection.

 

Upholstery

Seat or seat and back with optional pad upholstery, or fully upholstered shell, fabric cover according to BRUNE® collection, fabric group 3, 4, 6, 7 or 8.

Seat foam:         RG/SH 35/50        approx. 15 mm thick
Back foam:    RG/SH 35/50        approx. 10 mm thick

(RG = bulk density per m³, SH = compression hardness)

Optional: glides with plastic insert, glides with felt insert

Gerd Rausch

Dipl.-Ing. Gerd Rausch (born 1940 in Köln) is an architect and designer. He studied architecture in Cologne and was subsequently working in the bureau of Prof. Joachim Schürmann for two years. From 1967 to 2005, he was an employed designer at BRUNE and in this period of time he significantly formed the product design of the company with his communication design. Since 2005, he has been dedicated to free painting and special architecture consultation. He is, for example, a founding member of the artist group p e n t i m e n t i.
Gerd Rausch lives and works in Köln.
