2008
The Quality made in Germany philosophy is based on collaboration with renowned German designers and places the pursuit of absolute premium quality at the centre of all company activities.
New designer furniture, some of which has won internationally recognised design awards, is launched every year.

2002
Andreas Fertig joins the company as Managing Director and, together with the owner Wolfgang Brune, initiates far-reaching restructuring measures.

1991
BRUNE takes over the former GDR company ROTTA in Saxony-Anhalt from the Treuhand. Further takeovers follow in the 1990s, enabling BRUNE to enter new markets.

1959
When Wolfgang Brune joins the company, the in-house production of kitchen benches, chairs and tables begins. Initially still in the hall of a former cinema in the Siebengebirge, from 1961 production takes place in the company's first own production halls in Königswinter-Oberpleis, where the company is based today.

1945
Heinrich Brune founds a household goods business in a sacristy in Kleineichen near Cologne. A short time later, the future ‘inventor of the demountable kitchen bench’ moves to the Hacketeuer barracks in Cologne-Mühlheim, from where he sells furniture to local specialist retailers.
