Brune received order for restauration of the „ Badische Staatstheater Karlsruhe“

1388 seats, allocated into theater and opera, will be renovating within 4 weeks during the theater vacations. The renovation includes the replacement of all plywood seat and back shells and the seat, back and armrest upholstery. Due to the changement of the seating positions, the seat comfort will be ergonomically improved.

We are pleased to inform our customers that BRUNE – after having been candidate with LIGNUM chair in 2010 - has again been selected with CUPA as candidate for the 2011 design award granted by the Federal Republic of Germany. The design award of the Federal Republic of Germany is the highest official design prize a company can get. A company can be proposed as candidate for the prize upon official nomination by one of the Ministries of Economic Affairs of the “Länder” or by nomination of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs if it has won one of the national or international design awards.
Our chair CUPA designed by Prof. Matthias Rexroth and reddot prize winner 2010 has now been nominated for this highest design award of the Federal Ministry of Ecomomic Affairs and Technology.

The jury recognized that the bench system DELTA sets itself apart by its straightforward construction and utmost variability and honoured the high user comfort provided by the lateral armrests.
"Thanks to a combination of various materials the DELTA bench can individually be adapted to all kind of interior surroundings. The modular design allows an addition of various elements according to specific requirements. The jury can imagine the DELA benches being located in entry halls of hospitals. Reddot award for LIGNUM

Prof. Andreas Ostwald, designer of product and engineer design, has created a unique wooden chair worked very delicately and emphasizing the character of the room without dominating.
